The History of Asteri.NetAsteri.Net was started way back in May of 1999 as a place to bring together all of my writing, research, artwork, and fanpages instead of housing them across numerous free pages at geocities, xoom, and fortunecity (among others). The main focus for many years was doing audio dramas and fandubs as well as web design services, however things quickly branched out into including more articles, interviews, time-wasters, short films, jewelry/costumes, and just basic randomness. Things you may remember from this era are: "Dark Senshi," "The Zelda Play," "Eve of Angels," the comedy group "One More Flying Marionette," the "Forever Knight" Parody Song, "Sliding Scarves," "Anime no. 5," and the webcomics "Random Thoughts of a Bean" and "Shadow in the Mirror" (based upon a book I'd been working on for quite some time). Since July of 2006, Asteri.Net was quite inactive and just housed some fanpages, games, web rings, and other things, however it is being revived along with Asteri Productions/Lunar Sunset Studios in order to produce "Once Upon a Mushroom." Due to Y2K, Asteri.Net was actually completely destroyed for a while when our servers were like some of the only ones affected due to the change. Almost everything was lost, and at the time the back-up media I had access to wasn't that reliable. (If anyone still has a copy of the first four episodes produced of "Dark Senshi," I'd love to find them!) My own moves in the last eight years have also created some information loss, which is why this page is all being started from scratch. |
